Communication

Communication is at the core of what we do. We actively encourage an open dialogue between families and staff and have a number of initiatives in place to help facilitate this.

Sign in Sheets

Each child must be signed in and out each day – this is a legal requirement. There is also a comments area, to facilitate communication between staff and families.

Routine Forms

Upon enrolment families in each room are given a routine to fill out. These outline your child’s routine needs for sleep, meals, play etc.. and are used as a guide to care for your child whilst they are in care. These are updated on a regular basis.

Information boards

In the Nursery Room and Toddler Room, Educators will record information such as your child’s sleep times and bottle/food information. You can refer to this board at the end of the day.

Learning Development Folders

families always have access to their child’s learning development folder which are on display for easy access in all the rooms. In these folders you will see what your child has been learning and the skills that they are working on in the forms of photos, observations, learning stories and art work.

Storypark

The centre uses an online platform called Storypark which allows educators to share photos, videos, messages and stories with families throughout the day. Newsletters, upcoming events and important announcements are also shared via this platform. Families can opt out of Storypark if they choose.

Face to Face

You are always welcome to chat with our friendly Educators about your child. Please remember that pick up and drop off time may be particularly hectic, so if you would like to have a more in depth discussion, you are welcome to make a time to speak with your child’s lead educator either in person or over the phone.
